When it comes to Litti-Chokha, Indian litti-Chokha has no comparison
in this universe. The combination has a unique taste and flavor. Though it is
very easy to prepare and cook, the foodies are required with some expertise
to give a right smack in it. We will discuss in detail how to prepare it.
But, before that there are some established facts and benefits about this
recipe, one must know. The cuisine has been tested for its charm for a really
long period say around 1000 years in the Indian subcontinent. Perhaps, even
today, it’s a regular dish in typical Indian families. This food gives instant
energy to the body which lasts long. Especially, in winters people tend to stick to
litti-chokha for warmth, hence recommended for couples ☺. While preparing
this food you also need to play with fire and getting your body warm and painless.
Let's do it for 4 person
Cooking Stuff- one foot round or rectangle fire pot, two
forceps, 3-4 inches long wood pieces around 2 KG, A cotton towel, Plates- 2
To be cooked stuffs- Wheat flour 1 Kg, dry roasted powder of
black chickpea 250 grams, Round brinjals- 2 large sizes, 2 nos of tomatoes, 5
nos green chili small, 50 ml mustard oil, 1 tbsp carom seeds, 1/2 tbsp black
cumin, a lemon, salt to the taste, butter 100 grams
Preparation: Pie dough Well to make it slightly harder,
mix powder chickpea with mustard oil, carom seeds, black cumin, lemon, and salt.
It is advisable that at the same time burn the fire pot and leave it unless the
smock and flames out. Now make 150g dough in round shape with the help of your
both the palms and make it hollow to put the mixture of chickpea then cover it
with the help of your palms. Do it the same for the remaining dough. Now put these
on the ruddy red fire and start rolling it till these get cracked. Collect all
pieces. Pour some water on the fire if it's still rocking. After that, you need
to again put these on fire and cover it fully with. At the first baking time, you need to put brinjals and tomatoes along and take these after being baked to
be soft. Now, take it uncovered in a potting mix with small sliced chili and a
little mustard oil plus salt and mix it well. By the time, your Littis were
prepared, take it out of the ashes and clean it with the help of cotton pieces.
Your litti-chokha is now ready to serve. Pour and mix the littis with butter
and serve it hot. Be happy spending the rest of the night out of cover.
For taste the best, don’t use electric equipment. Use your
hands maximally. No hygiene problem.
