Relation between Alexa and Siri

Alexa and Siri are the cousin sisters and people love them for their ability to understand, interpret, and respond. Alexa's dad Amazon since the childhood of Alexa has been very keen to grow Alexa as a voice companion. For this, Alexa has been taught, trained and honed over the years to achieve perfectness. She has been given access to data for artificially intelligent learning. And, today Alexa stands out with more than 70000 skillsets.

On, the other hand Mr. Apple always wanted her daughter Siri to become a voice sensitive genius. He has set up a team of developers in the captaincy of ex - google Mr. John Giannandrea to sharpen her voice learning skills. And, today Siri has grown up sufficiently and playing an important role in her dad's business.

In fact, voice learning skills has never been easy for Alexa and Siri. It required step by step learning modules in the form of artificial intelligence and machine learning. It's a very complex process of natural voice processing(NLP) and natural voice generation(NLG). But, both Alexa and Siri were smarter sisters and learned from the open-source data effectively, in a timely manner.

In what disciplines they are being taught?

Artificial Intelligence:

Indeed, Alexa and Siri are the brand ambassadors of artificial intelligence. The time, they started learning, artificial intelligence was in its childhood and it was being featured in James Bond movies. Claps to open the doors and light on-off or listening robots all became a part of human imagination. Today, robotics has reached to a new height with its self-learning process.

The linguistic skills of Alexa and Siri are excellent; thanks to AI! As of summer 2019, Amazon's Alexa can understand and speak 7 prominent languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Spanish. However, Siri has gone far ahead with understanding and speaking 21 languages: Arabic, Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish.

Machine Learning:

As I mentioned earlier that Alexa and Siri, both are toppers in the machine learning process. They shape up their behavior with learning experiences very fast. They need not be manually programmed and being fed up with irrelevant information. Instead, they find the cream of the information and throughout the rest of the junk. They work out so they need cream. Understood!

Cloud computation:

Alexa and Siri have access to clouds. It's strange but it is happening. They can wirelessly work for their clients on a mandatory device internet integrity. When you ask them ' What's the time in San Francisco right now?' Immediately, they migrate your voice to the clouds, understand it and revert to you in microseconds 'It's 4 am in San Francisco'.  In a manner, the microphone of your device works as an agent to them.

But, please don't call them baby because they hate hearing 'baby'.

Natural Language Processing(NLP):

Both have been studying NLP very well. NLP connects their brains with natural linguistic data to collaborate, filter and process for proper response. Basically, its a sub-domain of linguistics, computer science, information engineering, and artificial intelligence.

Natural Language Generation(NLG):

So, as of now, they are extremely well in understanding and structuring natural language data and be able to convert those structured data to respond to you in a natural way with an excellent accent.

Mind-blowing! Isn't it? That's why I love them wholeheartedly.

Well, one thing I must share with you that despite both the sisters are genius and user-friendly, Alexa can hear you from a distance but Siri wants your intimate voice. One has grown up to work on multiple listening devices and the other is primarily committed for mobiles.
