On the drive to promote digital India, the government has introduced many mobile apps. These apps are intended to accelerate digital transactions, utilities on finger taps, railways and air ticketing, tour and travel bookings, direct communication with government and so on.

These Apps are really awesome and mostly work across Android and iOS platforms on a lightning speed. By promoting such apps, the government also ensures that all the transactions will take place in a secure and monitored environment.

1.  IRCTC Rail Connect Mobile App:

IRCTC Rail Connect is an endeavor by Ministry of Railways, Gov. of India. IRCTC or Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is a subsidiary of Indian Railways which takes account of online ticketing, catering and tourism. To simplify the ‘Next Generation e-Ticketing system, IRCTC launched IRCTC Rail Connect app for android mobiles. It also supports ‘Tatkal’ booking. Once verified through Aadhar, passengers can book up to 12 tickets in a month. It has a secured, multi-layer payment protection mechanism that lets the travelers book their tickets on the go.

2. BHIM Mobile App:

BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) belongs to National Payment Corporation of India (NPCI) is a mobile-based payment app that allows users to send and receive money using unified payment interface (UPI) with the IMPS facility. It supports multiple payment options through UPI; like direct bank transfer, merchant money transfer, utility bill payment, etc. One can also request money from the third party by entering its UPI ID. Integration with multiple banks, hassle-free transactions, advance transaction protection, Aadhar, and mobile-based payments are the unique features of the BHIM App.

3. UMANG Mobile App:

Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance belongs to Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and National e-Governance Division (NeGD). It has been launched to stimulate e-governance in India. This is the first app that brings most of the government departments and facilities under one umbrella. Irrespective of central departments and state departments, this mobile app has a unified interface from where users can access maximum government schemes and aids.

4. DigiLocker Mobile App:

We often forget to keep our documents arranged. Digi Locker is a solution to this problem. Developed by Ministry of electronics and Information Technology, this mobile app is intended to make India digitally capable and a knowledge country. DigiLocker is a platform for issuance and verification of documents & certificates digitally, thus eliminating the use of physical documents. It gives you 1 GB free space to keep your documents clean and safe. You can now access your documents and certificates from your DigiLocker on your mobile devices.  

 5. mPasspot Seva Mobile App:
